Full job description

Job Title: Barista

Job Summary:
Join our team at Maya, a cozy micro-bakery & Coffee house located in Central London. As a part-time Barista, you will be an integral part of our family business founded by Oniz and Serdar.

This role is 3-4 days per week, including one full Saturday shift.

We are seeking a skilled individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional coffee experiences to our customers.

Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages following recipes and presentation standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and recommending menu items.
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders with precision and care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including equipment cleaning and restocking.
- Uphold food safety standards in handling and storing ingredients.
- Assist in other tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the Cafe.

Candidates must be comfortable working independently and managing the shop alone. We are a small family-run business where teamwork is essential. We are looking for someone who is confident with coffee, sales, cross selling and creating an excellent customer experience.

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Barista and specialty coffee is a must.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
