Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant Whitechapel Pharmacy, London
(Sorry we can not sponsor any visas)

Our amazing team in Whitechapel is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our busy community pharmacy team.

We are seeking someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering excellent customer service and patient care. Whether you already have pharmacy experience or come from a strong customer service background, we would love to hear from you.

Working Hours

Tuesday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Saturday: 9:00am – 5:30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Total contracted hours: 40 hours per week

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring patients receive a professional, efficient and friendly service.

Key responsibilities include:

Serving patients and customers at the pharmacy counter
Assisting with the dispensing process
Handling prescription collections and patient queries
Answering telephone enquiries professionally
Supporting NHS and private pharmacy services
Managing stock, ordering and deliveries
Using pharmacy computer systems and NHS platforms
Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment
Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times
Working closely with pharmacists and colleagues to provide excellent patient care

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have excellent customer service and communication skills
Be organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
Be confident using computers and learning new systems
Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Remain calm and professional during busy periods
Have a positive and proactive attitude

Essential

Previous customer service experience
Good IT and keyboard skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work accurately and efficiently

Desirable

Previous pharmacy experience
Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) qualification
Experience using pharmacy systems such as ProScript, Titan, RxWeb or Pharmacy Manager
Knowledge of NHS services such as Pharmacy First, NMS and Blood Pressure Checks

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
