Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge and a strong background in vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. This role involves working with complex automotive systems, using specialised tools, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Master Automotive Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of vehicle safety, performance, and reliability. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a reputable automotive service centre.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals.root cause analysis
Perform complex mechanical repairs, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system work.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately.
problem solving through diagnostic softwares including-OEM VACTS AND CORVUS, CANALYSER,snapshot toolfor fault finding and software updates
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake inspections, tyre rotations, and fluid replacements.
Assist with assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repairs or upgrades.
Repair or replace faulty equipment, including welding or other fabrication tasks as required.
Maintain detailed records of all work performed and communicate findings clearly to customers.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians when necessary.
Assist with the organisation of workshop tools and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with recognised qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, schematics, and diagnostic procedures.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic machinery.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform complex repairs accurately.
Experience in vehicle assembly, maintenance programmes, and equipment repair.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles in various positions for extended periods.
Valid UK driving licence is essential; previous experience working in a fast-paced workshop environment is preferred.
