Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sawyer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting and preparing materials with precision, ensuring quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, warehouse experience, or hands-on work involving tools and assembly processes. The Sawyer will play a vital part in maintaining efficient production workflows and supporting the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate saws and cutting equipment safely and efficiently to process various materials.
- Measure and mark materials accurately according to specifications.
- Assist with fabrication tasks, including assembly and fitting of components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment as needed for fabrication and finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and productivity.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with heavy lifting and material handling within the warehouse or production area.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or warehouse environments preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Prior experience in using fabrication machinery or assembly lines is advantageous.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle demanding tasks throughout shifts. Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
