Full job description

Position: Waking Night Support Worker

Location: Poole, Dorset

Hours: 36 and 18 contracted hours per week (Mon-Sun, including weekends, days, evenings, holidays and sleep in's)

Salary: 36 hours - £25,016.30 per annum (£13.33 p/h) or 18 hours - 12,508.15 (£13.33 p/h)

Advance is looking for Waking Night Support Workers in Poole, Dorset to support customers with learning disabilities/ autism/ complex needs/ mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. Day to Day Activities:

Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
Medication administration (if required)
Support with independent skills
Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
Keeping up to date with your training
Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
Supporting with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry

About the candidate:

You don’t need to have previous experience working in care or support to be successful in this role. What matters are your values, your passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with autism or learning disabilities.

If you think a Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:

Good at working on your own and within a team
Excellent at communicating with people
Able to complete quality support records
Able to work every other weekends
Roles require either up to 2 waking night shifts per week (18-hour contract) or up to 4 waking night shifts per week (36-hour contract) from 10:30pm to 7am
Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
Need to be literate and numerate in English
Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
