Full job description

ALS Dental is seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Lab Manager to lead our laboratory team in Dorchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Crown & Bridge Technician who is ready to take the next step into a leadership and operational management role.

We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for quality and team development. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, supporting technicians, and driving workflow efficiency across the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the dental laboratory
Support, mentor, and develop the laboratory team
Maintain consistently high standards of Crown & Bridge workmanship and quality control
Oversee workflow management, case scheduling, and production efficiency
Work closely with dentists and clients to ensure excellent service and case outcomes
Ensure compliance with all relevant MHRA, DAMAS, and health & safety requirements
Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management of staff
Collaborate with senior leadership to improve processes, productivity, and customer satisfaction
Provide technical guidance and hands-on support when required

About You

Qualified and experienced Dental Technician with a strong background in Crown & Bridge
Proven technical ability across fixed prosthetics and restorative work
Ready to transition into a management or leadership role
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Able to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced laboratory environment
Experience with digital workflows and modern dental technologies would be advantageous
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is desirable but not essential
