Sales Manager
Daintie, PODBOSS & LVP Full time | On site | London
We're on the hunt for a Sales Manager to open the big doors and bring in the revenue beyond our online shops.
This is a true hunter or huntress role, for someone charismatic, commercially sharp, and hungry to win. We’re looking for someone who can secure us the corporate and bulk contracts, retail stockists, wholesale and distributor deals, and getting our laundry vending machines placed into hotels, gyms, student housing, laundromats and beyond.
This is not an admin-heavy role. Your job is to sell. We’ll give you the pitch decks, proposals and product knowledge. Your focus will be getting in front of the right people, opening doors, building relationships and closing deals.
There is a proper commission element on top of salary, directly tied to the revenue you bring in.
About Us
We're an entrepreneurial Aussie family, originally from Melbourne, running quite a few businesses across the US, Australia and now the UK and Europe. We're not an agency, but you'll get to work across a genuinely diverse range of products and brands. You'll primarily be working with Dacie Clean, the detergent company in the family, run by our founder Dakota (a small brunette in her late twenties with a big passion for dancing and an even bigger one for solving laundry problems nobody else wants to talk about).
She opened the London office at Westbourne Studios in January 2026 to push some of our brands from the US into the UK and Europe, so we're still very much early days. You'd be joining as one of the early members of our London crew — soon accompanied by our Ecommerce Manager, Brand Strategist & Copywriter and Brand & PR Manager. We're hoping to find the right people to grow with and build a really fun, supportive and chilled culture.
We're a small team, pretty much building the plane while flying it (responsibly, of course). Structure and processes are still forming, so there's real room to shape how things are done. We're after someone who can join our squad full time. We offer up to two months a year remote work if you want to travel, and we'll even shout you the coworking space fees while you're off adventuring.
Bring your mates too!
After three years adapting our US products for Europe, they're finally arriving in the UK (hooray!!... it's been a long process). So that means it's time to ramp up the team! As part of our Euro expansion we're also hiring a:
- Ecommerce Manager
- Brand Strategist/Copywriter
- Brand & PR Manager
If you know great people for those, mention it in a BLUE box in the top right hand corner of your application.
The Role
The job is simple: find the customers, open the doors, close the deals and bring in revenue that doesn't rely on a listing.
The main brands you'll be selling:
- Daintie our main D2C brand: specialised laundry care for intimate items, period stains and sensitive skin (www.daintiedelicates.com). We won a shiny silver award last year.
- PODBOSS wholesale, convenience sized and B2B bulk detergent (www.thepodboss.com).
- LVP the laundry vending machines that PODBOSS goes inside of, plus other laundrette supplies (www.laundryvendingproducts.com).
Across the group we're building niche, practical consumer and trade brands with clear positioning, strong product market fit and serious growth potential.
Beyond detergents, our wider family of products spans some pretty diverse industries — from caravans and arborist machinery to concrete mixers and lab/medical products — so over time there may be chances to sell across other brands in the family too.
You'll own new revenue across two fronts: big corporate, institutional and bulk deals on one side, and retail, wholesale and trade on the other. You'll report directly to the Founder, there's a meaningful commission element on top of salary, and as the team and the brands grow there's real room for this role (and your earnings) to grow with it.
Okay, that just about sums it up — skip to "How to Apply" if that sounds like you. Otherwise, here's the nitty gritty:
Who You'll Work With
- Founder commercial direction, targets, pricing guardrails and final sign off on big deals
- Brand Designer your pitch decks, presentation materials and POS
- Brand Strategist/Copywriter your proposals, tender responses and sales collateral
- Ecommerce Manager your sounding board for new revenue ideas, plus the person who lists and fulfils what you sell online
- Brand & PR Manager leads, content and warm introductions from events, partnerships and press
- Ops & Supply Chain lead times and fulfilment once you've closed
What You'll Be Doing
Corporate, institutional and bulk sales. Build a tiered target list and go after it- hotel and hostel groups and hospitality, student accommodation, gyms and leisure, co working operators, facilities management firms, healthcare and the public sector. You'll run a clean process end to end: outreach (cold email, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, trade events), discovery, proposal, negotiation and close - then hand over to Operations to fulfil. Keep the CRM tidy and report your pipeline to the Founder weekly.
LVP vending placements. Work hand in hand with LVP to land our laundry vending machines in the right venues - laundromats, hostels, student housing, apartment blocks, hotels, gyms and beyond. Build relationships with venue operators, pitch it as income for them with zero effort, negotiate placement terms (revenue share, positioning, exclusivity), and keep a live pipeline of venues ready for LVP to install.
Retail, wholesale and trade. Get our brands onto shelves- independent stores, health and beauty, gift and eco shops, regional grocery, and the bigger UK buyers (Boots, Holland & Barrett, TK Maxx and the like). Approach buyers directly and at trade shows, negotiate trade terms (wholesale price, MOQs, payment terms), and build a wholesale and distributor network that extends our reach without you chasing every single order.
Bulk, pallet and tenders. Service and grow the existing bulk and pallet business, chase new bulk buyers (cleaning companies, care homes, councils, facilities firms), and go after public tenders and procurement frameworks (NHS, councils, universities, prisons) with the Copywriter's help on the paperwork.
Key accounts and renewals. Own the big relationships once they're won - regular check ins and quarterly business reviews, upsell and cross sell the wider range, and never let a key account lapse through neglect.
Pitch support (you brief, they build). You won't make the decks or write the proposals yourself, the Brand Designer and Copywriter do that. You brief them clearly, then take the polished materials into the room and close.
What We're Looking For
A natural hunter who's energised by the chase and by being in front of people. You can build a pipeline from scratch, get past gatekeepers, run a confident sales process and actually close. You're organised enough to keep a CRM clean and report honestly on your numbers, commercial enough to negotiate on volume, price and terms without giving away margin, and self directed enough to make your own opportunities rather than wait for them. You're comfortable moving between corporate, retail and trade, and you play the long game - building relationships, not just chasing the first order.
Essential skills: proven B2B or trade sales with a real track record of closing; confident outbound (cold email, LinkedIn, events); running a full sales cycle from prospecting to close; CRM discipline (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce or similar); negotiating commercial terms; clear, persuasive communication; organised, self directed and reliable.
Nice to have: contacts in hospitality, facilities management, healthcare, education or the public sector; experience selling FMCG, cleaning, consumer goods or b2b trade products; tenders and procurement frameworks; retail buyer relationships (UK and US); distributor or wholesale network experience; LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo or similar prospecting tools.
What Success Looks Like
You're doing well when new corporate, institutional and bulk deals are closing; LVP vending placements are growing month on month; products are landing on retail shelves and into wholesale and distributor networks; the CRM is clean and the pipeline is honest and healthy; key accounts are renewing and expanding; and revenue is arriving from places it never used to.
Exceptional means you're not just hitting target - you're opening whole new channels and bringing in the kind of deals that change the shape of the business.
Who This Role Is Not For
This isn't a desk and admin role, and it's not for someone who waits to be handed leads. If cold outreach makes you wince, if you'd rather manage a process than close a deal, or if a quiet week with nothing booked in doesn't bother you, this won't be your thing.
It's for someone who genuinely enjoys the chase, walking into rooms, getting people on the phone, turning a "maybe" into a signed order. We'll give you the products, the materials and a proper commission to go after. The rest is on you, and that's exactly how you like it.
Location
Full time, on site in London, with travel within the UK for client meetings and trade shows. We also offer up to two months of remote work a year if you want to travel and we'll cover coworking space fees while you're off adventuring.
HOW TO APPLY
CV: Send your CV or a short overview of your sales experience — and if you can point to deals, accounts or channels you've opened or grown, even better. Just make sure the word Detergent is in there somewhere so we know you read this properly.
"Cover letter": Please don't send a traditional corporate cover letter — have fun with it. Think FaceTime voice note energy rather than a formal CV. We're far more interested in who you are, how you think, what gets you fired up and why this role genuinely interests you. Send it as a short note, one page PDF, Loom video, Notion style page or whatever feels natural , don't overthink it. Bonus points for your worst icebreaker.
If you know someone who'd be great for one of our other open roles: Ecommerce Manager, Brand Strategist/Copywriter or Brand & PR Manager mention it in a BLUE box at the top right hand corner of your application.
In your application, please also answer one of these (your choice):
- Tell us about a deal you're genuinely proud of: how you found it, and how you closed it.
- If you joined us tomorrow, which three types of customer would you go after first, and why?
- What's the most creative bit of outbound or door opening you've ever pulled off?
Pay: £25,079.04-£69,468.45 per year
