Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing and pipefitting techniques, along with the ability to interpret schematics and work with a range of tools and welding methods. The position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in accordance with project specifications and schematics.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques suitable for <LOCATION> welding standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently.
Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify faults or potential issues.
Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Assist in troubleshooting complex plumbing or mechanical problems as required.

Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and <LOCATION> welding techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, pipefitting, and maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus.
Knowledge of construction practices related to plumbing installations and repairs.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during installation or repair work.
Competence in assembly processes involving pipes, fittings, valves, and related components.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
