Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our professional team. This role involves providing essential administrative support within a busy legal environment, ensuring smooth case management and effective communication with clients and colleagues. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, analysis capabilities, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop within the legal sector while contributing to the successful operation of our practice.

Duties

Organising and maintaining legal files, documents, and case records with accuracy and confidentiality
Drafting, proofreading, and managing correspondence, reports, and legal documents
Assisting with case preparation by gathering relevant information and conducting basic analysis
Managing schedules for lawyers, including court dates, meetings, and deadlines
Responding to client enquiries professionally and efficiently, ensuring high standards of customer service
Filing documents electronically and physically in accordance with firm procedures
Supporting administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and data entry as required
Coordinating communication between clients, courts, and external agencies to facilitate case progress

Skills

Strong analysis skills to interpret legal documents and identify relevant information
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Proven administrative experience within a professional setting, preferably in a legal environment
Exceptional customer service skills to maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal management software is desirable
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail coupled with strong written and verbal communication abilities

experience in Family Law and Private client work advantageous
