Full job description

Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with some experience in stock control or material planning who is looking to further develop their career within supply chain. This role offers the opportunity to build on existing knowledge, with ongoing training and support to enhance skills in planning, inventory management, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and management of material requirements in line with production needs
Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
Assist with raising and managing purchase orders
Liaise with suppliers to track and expedite deliveries
Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

Previous experience in stock control, materials planning, or a similar role
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Intermediate Excel skills
Understanding of inventory control principles
Strong willingness to learn and develop further

Desirable

Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Exposure to ERP/MRP systems
Understanding of supply chain or procurement processes

Personal Attributes

Eager to build on existing skills and progress within supply chain
Proactive and positive approach to work
Good communication and teamwork skills
Able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Open to feedback and continuous improvement

Training & Development

Ongoing training to develop planning and supply chain expertise
