“I was very skeptical about leaving my old job but I’m so I glad I took the leap and applied for my position at Apollo. Best thing I ever did, I get to spend more time with my children and watch them grow. Everyone is so friendly and easy to approach if you have a problem.”
About This Role
We are looking for dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support an outgoing young man within his home environment on a 2:1 care basis.
He has a fun and sociable personality and enjoys spending time with his family and care team. He loves getting out into the community, watching football (especially Manchester United), building Lego, playing PlayStation and listening to rap music.
We're looking for someone who shares his interests and enjoys getting involved in the activities he loves. You'll support him both at home and out in the community, including occasional trips and holidays within the UK, helping him to live an active, fulfilling and independent lifestyle.
In this role, you will provide person-centred care, support his daily routines, and assist with clinical interventions. Night shifts will involve supporting his bedtime routine, delivering specialised care, and creating a calm, restful environment.
Clinical Experience
Previous experience supporting adults with complex healthcare needs is desirable.
Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in house nursing team.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
- Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
- Full UK driving licence
We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are therefore unable to consider applicants requiring sponsorship.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Caring, kind and compassionate
- Reliable and professional
- An excellent communicator
- Committed to delivering person-centered care
- A positive team player
