The Role – Water Feature Fabricator & Welder
We are looking for someone to join our water feature manufacturing team, producing high-quality fabricated metal features using MIG and TIG welding techniques.
Unlike standard production welding, water feature fabrication requires greater care and accuracy, with a focus on achieving strong, clean, watertight welds.
You’ll be working with prepared materials, drawings and proven manufacturing processes while still using your fabrication skills to create a premium finished product.
Materials include:
- Stainless steel
- Mild steel
- Corten steel
- Aluminium (occasionally)
You’ll be involved throughout the build process, from fabrication and welding through to finishing and quality checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld metal water features and garden products
- Carry out MIG welding and TIG welding where required
- Produce clean, consistent, watertight welds
- Assemble components accurately from drawings and specifications
- Grind, dress and finish products to a high standard
- Check products for leaks, quality and overall finish
- Use workshop machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment
- Maintain good workmanship and attention to detail
- Work as part of a skilled fabrication team
- Follow safe working practices and keep a tidy workspace
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in MIG welding and general fabrication
- Ability to produce consistent, quality welds
- Good understanding of fabrication drawings
- Experience using grinders, fabrication tools and workshop equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Pride in producing quality finished products
Desirable Skills
- TIG welding experience
- Stainless steel fabrication experience
- Previous experience with watertight welding or similar fabrication
- Experience working with sheet metal products
- Metal finishing experience
