About Us
The Section 38 team, which is part of Planning & Environment is engaged in supporting the continued economic regeneration of Warwickshire. The developments dealt with by the team vary in scale, location and complexity, and the team is responsible for providing statutory highway advice to the Local Planning Authorities, pre-application advice, carrying out technical approvals and inspections for new road adoptions associated with developments throughout the County.
We are looking for someone who has some experience and is looking for the next step in progressing their career.
About the role
Warwickshire County Council operates with a streamlined job description which encompasses both planning and technical approval/inspection work areas. The successful applicant will work in the team responsible for technical approvals where they will use their experience and knowledge gained already to develop their career.
Key Requirements
To be successful you will need the following:

To be motivated, creative and organised,
- Willing to take responsibility for the success of your activities and make decisions independently,
- You will need good knowledge and experience of highway construction to ensure the delivery of high-quality schemes,
- You should possess a relevant degree, a full relevant professional qualification or be able to demonstrate significant experience of managing large projects at a senior level.
An aptitude for communicating both verbally and in writing is essential in order to liaise with our many internal and external colleagues and customers.
Due to the nature of the role the ability to travel effectively throughout Warwickshire is essential.
