Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Polisher to join our team in Birmingham, UK. As a Stone Polisher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our stone products meet the highest quality standards. Your primary responsibility will be to polish, finish, and enhance the appearance of various stone surfaces, including marble, granite, limestone, and other natural stones.
Key Responsibilities:
Polish and finish stone surfaces to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish.
Use a variety of polishing tools and equipment, including grinders, polishers, and hand tools.
Inspect stone products for any defects or imperfections and take corrective actions as needed.
Work with different types of stones, understanding their unique characteristics and requirements.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Handle and transport stone materials safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Stone Polisher or in a similar role in the stone industry.
Knowledge of different types of stones and polishing techniques.
Ability to operate various polishing tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
