Thomas Sherriff is looking to recruit an Apprentice Parts Advisor at our busy Hexham Outlet. Our Parts Advisors report to the depot Parts Manager and play a central part in our mission to provide excellent customer experiences. Our parts department is a busy place, from serving customers both in person and on the phone to ensuring our stock is correct. Excellent customer service is something Thomas Sherriff pride themselves on, we expect all our customers to get the same outstanding levels of customer service.
The apprenticeship teaches you how to manage John Deeres sophisticated parts systems, run a profitable retail environment, merchandise goods effectively, and understand John Deere products and the importance of selling on quality and branding.
Workplace training is supplemented with one week a year at the John Deere Apprentice Training Centre, Nottinghamshire.
Duties include
- Promoting and selling parts and/or services to meet customer needs both face to face and over the phone.
- Supplying Service Technicians with parts as required.
- Identifying parts through a variety of catalogue systems to provide quotations for a range of agricultural equipment.
- Assisting with preparing and maintaining merchandise display within the showroom.
- Receipt of incoming shipments
- Following up on shortages and accelerates issues by reporting to the Depot Parts Manager.
- Executing sales parts marketing plans and shares ideas for future campaigns.
- Executes telemarketing sales operations.
- Maintains control of inventory management, invoicing and other administrative tasks.
- Assists in keeping parts inventory clean, orderly and well organised.
- Processing payment transactions
- Hydraulic hose identification and manufacture
