Full job description

Simman Solicitors is a reputable law firm specialising in immigration matters and is seeking a Legal Intern to join their Croydon office.

This temp-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to develop their legal administrative skills and build a long-term career within a busy immigration practice. Candidates with limited or no previous legal experience are welcome to apply, provided they are committed to a long-term administrative career. The role may also suit graduates or gap year candidates seeking practical experience within a professional legal environment.

The successful candidate will provide administrative and legal support to solicitors, assisting with client matters and the smooth running of the department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Support solicitors with immigration case administration and client matters.
Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally with clients and third parties.
Assist with document preparation, data entry, and file management.
Maintain accurate client records and support efficient case progression.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

The successful candidate will:

Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
Possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and general IT proficiency.
Be able to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Provide references covering the last two years.
Be available for an immediate start.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and keen to develop their legal skills within a professional immigration law environment.

Pay: £800.00 per month
