The CHBPoS Consultant will provide Consultant cover and clinical leadership to the CHBPoS.
Working alongside a broad range of clinical and management colleagues, the post holder will be a key link between the operational and clinical roles that sit within KMMH, as well providing leadership to a number of key external interfaces related to patient flow.
- Providing Consultant cover for the patients in the CHBPoS
- Providing clinical supervision to resident doctors covering the CHBPoS during the day time.
- Advise on the policies relating to the provision of care by the place of safety service in KMMH.
- Monitor Section 136 activity in relation to demand in the new CHBPoS and consideration of necessary resources.
- Advising on how resources for the CHBPoS should be deployed to maximize quality, patient experience and flow across all areas of the care group. This includes supporting the Acute Clinical Director in cost improvement planning and quality assessing the impact of cost improvement schemes.
- Proactively ensuring that the learning from serious incidents, near misses and complaints are considered in the running of the CHBPoS
- Promoting a culture which values safety, effectiveness and automatic patient / carer engagement, which includes openness and responsibilities under the duty of candour.
