About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our team. The successful candidate will take pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining exceptional craftsmanship standards across all upholstery projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding results for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Upholster a wide range of furniture, including sofas, chairs, headboards, and bespoke pieces.
Interpret work orders, specifications, and design requirements accurately.
Measure, cut, and fit fabrics, leather, foam, and other upholstery materials.
Carry out furniture repairs, reupholstery, and refurbishment work to a high standard.
Ensure all finished products meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
Operate upholstery tools and machinery safely and effectively.
Inspect materials and completed work for defects and quality issues.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Contribute ideas for improving processes, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Upholsterer or in a similar upholstery role.
Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and furniture construction.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work of the highest standard.
Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical drawings.
Skilled in the use of upholstery hand tools and machinery.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.

Desirable

Experience working with bespoke or luxury furniture.
Experience with furniture restoration and repairs.
Knowledge of modern and traditional upholstery methods.
