About The Role

Assistant Accountant

Marshall Motor Group - Mercedes-Benz and Luxury

We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant who thrives on accuracy, enjoys solving problems, and loves being part of a team that keeps a major business running smoothly.

As an integral part of our Mercedes-Benz and Luxury Finance team, you’ll support daily financial operations and play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting and smooth audit processes.

The role

Support Shared Services Centre to ensure ledgers are maintained to high standard
Support Management Accountant with all aspects of the month end process & day to day function of multiple stores
Balance Sheet reconciliation & creating monthly Balance Sheet review files
Assist with Vehicle & Parts Stock check requirements
Support with Internal & External audit requirements
Monthly Risk & Audit controls
Support with regular Debt Reviews for multiple stores
Liaise with internal and external teams
Support & cover where required

We're looking for:

A methodical individual focused on ensuring accurate accounting first time and ability to investigated and resolve problems
Someone who enjoys the challenge of adjusting routines to meet deadlines and liaising with people outside of the team.
Qualified / Part Qualified AAT / QBE.
Intermediate Excel Skills (Lookups, pivot tables, basic formulas) required
Previous experience of Purchase Ordering systems and VAT desirable..
Previous experience or knowledge of Keyloop/Drive and COUPA preferable.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
