Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Administrator to oversee the administrative requirements of our Optometry practice which prides itself on delivery high quality eye care and the latest eye wear for our patients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast paced environment and ability to prioritise workload. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our practice runs smoothly, providing high-quality care to our patients while maintaining an efficient and supportive environment for our staff.
Duties
- Reconcile and administer stock and invoices received
- Reconcile and administer NHS payment claims
- Manage clinicians and management team diaries
- Compile and circulate staff rotas, including annual leave and recording of sickness absence
- General day to day practice administration
- Reception and clinical support when required to support the wider practice team at times of high demand
- Securely and appropriately handle sensitive clinical information and correspondence
Skills
- Proven experience in small business administration including invoicing, rotas and diary management.
- Reception / patient facing experience is welcomed
- Strong financial management skills with the ability to create budgets and analyse financial reports.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with staff, patients, and external partners.
- A background in Optometry practices is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Remuneration:
- Commensurate with experience
