Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Electrician’s Mate/Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills and gain practical experience in electrical installation and maintenance. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of qualified electricians, assisting with various electrical tasks on-site. This paid position is ideal for those passionate about pursuing a career in the electrical trade and eager to learn in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Assist qualified electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
Support the organisation and preparation of materials needed for electrical projects.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
Help with the routing of cables, fixing conduits, and other related electrical duties as instructed.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
Attend training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and practical skills related to electrical work.

Experience

Previous experience working with hand tools and power tools is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Basic understanding or interest in electrical systems is advantageous.
No formal qualifications are required; however, a keen willingness to learn and develop skills is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate reliability, good communication skills, and a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in the electrical trade, supporting career progression within the industry while ensuring all work is performed safely and professionally.
