Full job description

We are currently looking to recruit a qualified Refrigeration Engineer to work as part of our Service team.

Primarily working within a defined geographical area but may be asked to go outside this area to fulfil operational needs. The mobile engineer is required to install, repair, and maintain on-site ice making and associated equipment in multi-site retail customers, fast food chains and other commercial/industrial customer sites.

Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules and respond to reactive service calls during the day as directed by the service manager.

Carryout repair and maintenance work at the workshop as required.

Maintain company vehicle and stock levels.

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have had previous experience within the ice making equipment engineering and manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of commercial ice making and refrigeration systems and be committed to delivering exceptional customer experience.

Training will be provided despite experience as deemed necessary.

We are a small, growing team, you will be required to carry out other duties when needed. Your flexibility and “can do” attitude are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Perform scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on industrial/commercial ice making, refrigeration and drink dispensing equipment.
Respond to reactive service calls as directed by the Service Manager.
Diagnose faults on site and completing the necessary repairs to reinstate the unit as fully functional.
Installation of new equipment as required.
Complete all necessary job paperwork and send to service manager on a daily basis.
Liaise with customer site representatives and complying with on-site policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain rapport with all customers and suppliers.
Provide weekend standby cover on a rota basis.
Record equipment history on engineering computer system and complete quality system documentation as required.
Always Work to company Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
Ensure all policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements are always followed to maintain compliance.
Comply with all customer health and safety policies and site procedures.
To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the job role or as deemed by the company.
Hold relevant and up to date training certificates.
Effective decision making and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated together with a positive attitude to deliver an excellent service delivery experience and satisfaction to internal departments and customers.

Ice Cool Servicing Ltd will provide a company van, mobile phone, uniform, PPE, F-Gas equipment and product training.

Qualifications & Key Skills Required

Mechanical repair: 2 years (preferred)
Electrical repair: 2 years (preferred)
Full driving licence.
You will have a strong ability of maintaining ice and refrigeration-based equipment to high standard within a compliant environment.
You will have mindset for personal responsibility to ensuring continuity of service.
You will have a strong teamwork ethic.
You will have a commitment to providing a reliable professional service to our internal customers.
You will help improve methodologies and skills within the department to maintain compliance with HSE and Regulatory requirements by using experience and
knowledge.
You will work closely with other members of the engineering department to help with other tasks beyond the basic requirements of the role.
You will be involved in the planning and specification of new or replacement equipment
