Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Freelance Payroll Administrator to support our payroll processes. This role involves managing payroll data, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations including pensions. The ideal candidate will have experience with various payroll and accounting software, alongside strong data entry and analysis skills. This freelance position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely, contributing to the smooth operation of our human resources functions.

Responsibilities

Manage payroll processing using systems such as Moneysoft and Xero Payroll.
Input and verify payroll data with precision, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions and employee information in accounting software like Moneysoft, Xero and Quickbooks.
Conduct data entry tasks related to employee hours, deductions, and benefits administration.
Assist with analysing payroll data to identify trends or discrepancies that require attention.
Support human resources functions by providing relevant payroll reports and insights as needed.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies concerning payroll administration.

Requirements

Proven experience working with payroll systems.
Familiarity with accounting software including Quickbooks, Xero or similar tools.
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of accounts payable processes related to payroll transactions.
Analytical skills to interpret payroll data effectively and identify anomalies.
Basic understanding of human resources practices and employment legislation in the UK.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Previous experience working as a freelance or remote payroll administrator is essential.
Ability to work on your own and must be available on an evening when needed.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
