Job Title: Accountant / Finance Manager

Location: Hull

Start: Immediate
Hours: Full Time

Position: Permanent

Salary: Negotiable, Depending upon Experience

GGP Consult are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Accountant / Finance Manager to join our growing business and play a key role in supporting the next stage of our development.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional to enhance financial visibility, strengthen reporting processes, and help drive operational efficiency across the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, providing accurate financial insight and supporting strategic decision-making.

Job Summary

GGP Consult are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual who is not only technically strong but also commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, and contribute to the overall performance of the business.

Key Resposibilities but not limited to:

Manage and oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting functions
Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
Develop and improve financial reporting processes and internal controls
Monitor cash flow, profitability, and financial performance
Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
Ensure compliance with VAT, payroll, statutory accounts, and regulatory requirements
Provide meaningful financial analysis and insight to directors and management
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and maximise financial performance
Support the continued development of systems, procedures, and best practices within the finance function

Key Skills and Experience

Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
Strong experience in bookkeeping, management accounting, and financial reporting
Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
Proven ability to improve financial systems and streamline operational processes
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Able to work independently while building effective working relationships across the business
Practical experience using Sage 200 systems will be beneficial
