As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Group Compliance Manager with expertise in sanctions, ethics and data protection, to have oversight of the Group's compliance policies and programmes to ensure the legal and ethical integrity of Croda in line with our values.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Educated to degree level in relevant discipline

Qualified Solicitor with proven experience as Compliance Manager

Expertise in sanctions, ethics and data protection

Experience in managing large projects

Good interpersonal and strong leadership skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to inspire confidence at all levels within the business

Commitment to deliver results and make a meaningful contribution in a team environment and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Demonstrates a well organised and logical approach to work

Understanding of risk management and ability to persuade others

In-depth understanding of industry standards and regulations

Strong project management skills
What You’ll Be Doing:
- The design, development, modification and implementation of programmes that improve compliance, including those in relating to ethics, competition law, modern slavery, human rights, facilitation of tax evasion and data privacy

Management of groupwide compliance projects, including the adoption of digital and IT systems and technologies to support automation or systemisation of programme

Development of training to suppose the implementation and awareness of the compliance programmes. This also includes educating employees and third-party partners

Collaborating with corporate counsels, HR and finance departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations

Development of new and oversight and evaluation of existing control system to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies

The assessment of the business's future strategy and focus (including business and geographic) to identify possible compliance risks as well as keeping abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company and evolving best practices in compliance

Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Group's Speak Up line and whistleblowing procedures

Conducting interviews and surveys to ensure that employees are compliant with regulations across the company's various departments

Conducting investigations, or have oversight of investigations, to discover the root cause of the compliance problems when they arise

Examining and improving auditing processes to resolve compliance issues fast or prevent them entirely.

This can be a hybrid role based at our HQ in Cowick, East Yorkshire or UK Remote (home based).
