Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to add to our team. We are a Class 4 & 7 MOT Station with an ever-growing customer base providing us with a wide variety of work.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be committed to delivering high-quality service.

This is a permanent full-time position and the salary is negotiable for the right applicant. Our opening hours are Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm.

Responsibilities

Conduct Class 4 & 7 MOT tests on various vehicle types in accordance with DVSA regulations and standards.
Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs or adjustments.
Possess strong mechanical knowledge and be able to carry out a wide range of work from routine servicing to more complicated technical jobs.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any issues identified.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding test results, work completed and any required maintenance or repairs.

Requirements

Valid MOT Tester certification is essential.
Full Drivers License.
Proven mechanical knowledge with prior experience.
Be able to show your Annual Assessment Certificate.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills to interact with customers professionally.
Maintaining high standards of work quality and safety compliance.
