Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organised and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, trustworth, a team player, must be flexible with days and hours of work as we open everyday so there are morning, and evening shifts available and the ability to work effectively in a busy retail setting. Must be 18+ due to licensing of alcoho.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Provide expert advice on gardening products and horticultural supplies
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock shelves and organise stock to ensure availability of products.
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-organised throughout the day
- Support inventory management through stock checks and replenishment
- Engage with customers to build rapport and promote ongoing loyalty
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage stock levels and store presentation effectively
- Ability to work well within a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly demeanour with a genuine interest in helping customers find suitable products
- Previous retail experience is beneficial but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key
