The Transformation Team drives strategic, organisation‑wide change by coordinating technology, people, and processes to deliver well‑governed, outcome‑driven initiatives. It leads major cross‑functional programmes — from business integration to platform modernisation — ensuring strong governance, alignment to business goals, and measurable delivery outcomes. The team acts as the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring programmes are delivered consistently, transparently, and with demonstrable business value.
Group IT is a newly forming department following the creation of the Quanta Group and changes to the way services are provided to subsidiary companies. Group IT will provide Corporate IT services across all group companies and manage the IT service provision from third-party providers.
The IT Project Manager will support the delivery of technology projects across the organisation, with an immediate focus on AI implementation, infrastructure modernisation, and a managed service provider (MSP) transition programme. This role requires a seasoned project manager with a strong technical grounding, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record delivering complex IT change in fast‑moving environments.
This role is part of the Transformation Team, but has a dotted line report into Group IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Manage cross-functional teams, technical SMEs, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and governance artifacts.
- Drive structured change management, communication, and user adoption activities.
- Apply consistent project methodologies and maintain project artefacts.
- AI Programme Delivery
- Support the rollout of AI solutions across the business, including automation, LLMs, workflow optimisation and data-driven enhancements.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to help define use cases, success metrics, and adoption strategies.
- Ensure AI projects meet compliance, security, and governance requirements.
- Help manage vendor relationships for AI platforms and integration partners.
- Infrastructure & Technical Projects
- Deliver infrastructure-focused projects such as network changes, endpoint modernisation, cloud migrations, and security enhancements.
- Work with technical leads to translate requirements into actionable project plans.
- Work with third parties to support delivery.
- Ensure robust testing, deployment, and cutover planning for all technical changes.
- Managed Service Provider Transition
- Support the transition from incumbent MSP’s to a new provider.
- Support knowledge transfer, service migration, onboarding, and operational readiness.
- Ensure SLAs, service processes, and governance frameworks are fully embedded.
- Provide a conduit between us and the third party.
- Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Lead project steering committees and provide clear, concise reporting to senior leadership.
- Identify, manage and escalate where appropriate risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes.
- Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
Specialist Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- IT Project Management experience delivering complex, multi-workstream projects.
- Experience managing projects in a Wealth Management organisation.
- Strong background in infrastructure projects (network, cloud, endpoint, security etc.)
- Demonstrable experience delivering AI or automation rollouts.
- Experience managing MSP transitions or major vendor onboarding programmes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical jargon into clear business language.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and change control.
- Ability to work in a regulated or high-security environment (financial services experience beneficial)
- Strong organisational and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and business units
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines
Desirable:
- PRINCE2, PMP, Agile PM, or similar certification.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and modern workplace technologies.
- Understanding of AI governance, data privacy, and responsible AI frameworks.
- Experience in a multi-entity or group environment.
