Maintenance Engineer
We are currently recruiting for an Mechanical Engineer to join us at Wheelgate Park, Mansfield. In this role you will help to create memorable experiences for our guests, by keeping our rides and attractions operating at the peak of efficiency and safety. A varied role, including working with a number of modern rides and attractions, tractors, vehicles and mowers around the site, plus carpentry, bodywork and respraying, plumbing and more.
Working within our maintenance team you’ll use your passion for getting the job done, in the most efficient and effective way possible, looking for opportunities to find long term solutions, not just make a quick fix. You’ll be empowered to make decisions and you’ll genuinely want to make a difference. The experience and safety of our guests is our key priority, and you will have a direct positive impact on this.
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
- A qualified & experienced maintenance engineer who can bring a wealth of maintenance experience to the team.
- To work to all current industry Health & Safety legislation at all times.
- As well as technical ability, we’re looking for a detailed person who thinks outside of the box, with a keen eye for detail.
- To work with industry recognised inspection bodies such as ADIPS and ROSPA.
- You will be expected to follow and understand written instructions, and be a good communicator who is able to produce accurate written reports.
- To undertake repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
- Prioritise system faults.
- To ensure quality of output at all times.
- Working with water systems.
- You’ll be a supportive team member, who’ll work closely with colleagues, park manager and directors on the best solutions to problem solving.
About the role:
The role is full time, permanent, averaging 40+ hours per week, and will include 1 day at the weekend, and bank holidays as required. Salary/hourly rate to be discussed at interview stage. 28 days holiday. Good opportunities for career advancement. Experience in amusement rides not essential. Training will be provided in troubleshooting maintenance and repairs of rides across the Park. Electrical experience advantageous but not essential.
