Full job description

We are looking to build relationships with reliable self-employed handymen, maintenance contractors and tradespeople to support our property management team in Kettering and the surrounding areas.

Our clients regularly require help with general property maintenance, including small repairs, minor plumbing works, tap changes, fence repairs, decorating, kitchen repairs, bathroom repairs and other day-to-day maintenance jobs. We are also interested in hearing from decorators, qualified electricians, plumbers and other trades.

This is not an employed position. Work would be offered on a self-employed contractor basis, as and when jobs become available. Contractors would be required to provide quotes where requested, complete works to a good standard, and invoice for completed jobs.

Invoices are paid from rent received from our clients, usually within 30 days of completion, subject to the works being completed satisfactorily and any required paperwork/photos being provided.

Applicants must have:

- Public liability insurance
- Their own tools and transport
- The ability to provide quotes when required
- Good communication and reliability
- A professional approach when dealing with tenants, landlords and our office team

We have been based locally for over 30 years and have long-standing relationships with landlords and contractors. We are looking for reliable people who are available to take on maintenance jobs of varying sizes.
