Full job description

Newton Farm Foods are looking for a Butcher to join us on a Temporary basis, in our award winning farm shop butchery, in the beautiful village of Newton St Loe.

We are a family run business with many local products and meat that comes directly from our farm. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a family environment with the opportunity to learn more about local businesses and farming.

Successful candidate will need to be available for both weekday and weekend working.

Duties will include:

Cut, mince and prepare meats for sale over our shop counter or for wholesale delivery.
Assist in breaking down carcasses
Clean and maintain tools and equipment
Ensure displays and signage are accurate and attractive.
Weigh, package, price and display our products.
Perform quality inspections on meats and other products.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation controls.
Greet and serve customers on the shop counter
Provide advice and answer any questions.
Receive and process deliveries.
Set up and close down of shop counter.
Production of sausages, burgers and faggots

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
