Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and fabrication skills within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their craft and contribute to innovative projects.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal and structural components.
Fabricate parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Cut, shape, and assemble metal components with precision to meet quality standards.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure proper fit and alignment of parts.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into final products or structures as required.

Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding with experience in welding techniques.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and structural steel.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations.
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
Experience with assembly processes is desirable but not essential.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £14.50-£20.00 per hour
