Summary:

As the Head Housekeeper at our esteemed hospitality establishment in Torquay, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the property. This permanent, full-time position is ideal for an entry-level candidate eager to develop their career in the hospitality and catering industry. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment, which is essential for our reputation and success.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
Supervise and train housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to company standards.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency.
Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest experience.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a housekeeping role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment is advantageous.
