Senior Accounts Ledger Accountant – UK | Full-Time | Competitive Salary

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accounts Ledger Accountant to join our established and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident finance professional who thrives on accuracy, process improvement and ownership of key ledger functions.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, resolving queries efficiently
Prepare monthly ledger reports and support month-end close
Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies and UK accounting standards
Identify process improvements and contribute to best-practice financial controls
Support audits, providing documentation and explanations as required
Mentor junior team members and assist with ad-hoc duties

About You

Proven experience in an accounts ledger or similar finance role (senior level preferred)
Strong understanding of UK accounting principles
Strong understanding of UK construction CIS and RC Vat submissions and compliance
Proficient in accounting software Quick Books and Excel
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Confident communicator able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
A proactive, organised individual who can work independently and meet deadlines
AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA desirable.
