Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organisation.must know Xero

Duties

Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Process accounts payable, including verifying invoices and preparing payments.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and budgets.
Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks for efficient record-keeping.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is essential.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues across various departments.
