We are seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to join our team near Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
About the farm
- 250 spring calving cows.
- 24:48 swing over parlour.
- 362 acres grassland.
- Milk supplied to Arla.
- Once calved between February and April, cows are grazed until November.
- Good track and water system.
Role
- Milking 4 times per week to a high standard. Milking starts at 6:15 am and 3:30pm. Taking 2 hours at peak.
- General livestock work including administering vaccinations, assisting with Tb testing and weighing of young stock.
- Tractor work including feeding, yard scraping, bedding, moving bales, spreading muck & slurry.
-Calf feeding during the spring.
- Setting up electric break fences.
- Role will include Sundays (split shift if preferred) and week days flexible to suit candidate.
About you
- We are looking for someone who is conscientious, punctual and is a self starter.
- Current ability not as important as willingness to learn.
- Must hold full Uk Driving license.
