CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting an Assistant Facilities Manager to join the team located in London on a permanent basis.
About the Role: As a CBRE Assistant Facilities Manager , you will provide advanced support and supervision to the team coordinating with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure work orders are completed efficiently and effectively. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans. What You’ll Do: Provide supervision, performance reviews, and mentorship to team members. Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives. Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus. Point of contact for escalated communications between landlord, tenants, and service providers by ensuring all procedures, policies, and reporting formats are understood and implemented. Allocate work orders and schedule repairs from requests. Review data from work order reports and create and present performance and progress status reports to management. Review all work orders, proposals, department files, and other paperwork submitted by vendors for accuracy and compliance. Check rooms and furniture to identify needs for repairs or renovations. Fix minor malfunctions in office equipment. Research new services and appliances to facilitate operations. Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques. Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related. Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team. What You’ll Need: 5+ years of job-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. Thorough understanding of accounting fundamentals required. In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required. Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset. Exceptional math skills with the ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
