Cedar Spaces designs and builds high-quality bespoke garden rooms, home offices, home gyms, golf studios and saunas across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties. We are known for delivering premium projects with exceptional attention to detail and customer service.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced carpenter to join our installation team.
Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction & Installation
- Construct bespoke timber-framed garden rooms, studios, gyms and saunas from foundation to completion
- Install timber floor systems, wall frames and roof structures
- Fit insulation, vapour barriers, plasterboard and internal finishes
- Install external cladding systems including composite, timber and fibre cement products
- Install EPDM roofing systems and associated roof details
First & Second Fix Carpentry
- Install doors, windows and glazing systems
- Fit flooring, skirting boards, architraves and internal trims
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with excellent attention to detail
Site Management
- Work alongside labourers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects run smoothly
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional site at all times
- Communicate professionally with clients throughout the build process
- Identify and resolve site issues as they arise
Quality & Safety
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with company standards
- Carry out quality checks throughout the build
- Follow all health and safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' carpentry experience
- Strong first-fix and second-fix carpentry skills
- Experience working from drawings and construction plans
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Garden room construction
- Timber frame buildings
- Extensions and outbuildings
- Composite and timber cladding systems
- EPDM roofing systems
- Site supervision or team leadership experience
