Joining our Data and Systems Team as a Data Analysis and Insight Lead, you’ll help deliver impactful, integrated services that support children and families from pregnancy through to age 19 (or 25 for those with SEND). Your role sits at the heart of the Best Start in Life (BSIL) Programme, combining data, digital and system integration expertise to enhance how families access information, advice and support across a connected system of services.
Working closely with programme leads, digital and IT colleagues and wider partners, you’ll ensure that digital tools, data foundations and service journeys are aligned to deliver a seamless experience for families, helping them find trusted information and access the right support at the right time.
- Lead the analysis of population health, early years and service-use data to identify gaps, trends, inequalities and opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver high-quality performance reporting against national and local KPIs, providing actionable insights to drive service improvements.
- Act as the programme’s digital and data lead, shaping data governance, improving data sharing, and building confidence in its use across partners.
- Support system integration and interoperability, working with IT teams to reduce duplication, streamline processes and improve user journeys.
- Contribute to the development of user-centred digital services, ensuring families can easily navigate and access support across multiple channels.
- Explore and implement innovative approaches, including automation and emerging technologies, to enhance service delivery and reduce administrative burden.
- Provide assurance and insight to governance boards and senior stakeholders, supporting effective decision-making across the programme.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, performance reporting or business intelligence.
- Ability to interpret complex data, identify gaps and trends, and translate findings into clear, actionable insight.
- Experience working with digital or IT teams to shape system requirements and improve processes.
- Understanding of integrated family services (0–19, or 0–25 for SEND) and the challenges within this landscape.
- Experience engaging and collaborating with multi-agency stakeholders, including local authorities, IT teams, voluntary sector partners and national bodies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a strong focus on improving outcomes for children and families.
