Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Roofer / Cladder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems and cladding on a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong understanding of roofing techniques, construction practices, and safety standards. The ideal applicant will demonstrate proficiency in handling hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Duties

Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to execute roofing and cladding installations accurately.
Install various roofing materials including metal, composite or membrane systems, ensuring weatherproofing and durability.
Fabricate custom components on-site using welding, carpentry, and other fabrication techniques to meet project requirements.
Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently for cutting, shaping, and fastening materials.
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as sheets of metal or roofing panels safely and effectively.
Conduct repairs or replacements of existing roofing structures while minimising disruption to clients.
Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all phases of work.
Assist with masonry or plumbing tasks related to roofing systems when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Roofer or Cladder with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans.
Skills in fabrication, refurbishment , new installations and the use of hand tools and power tools.
Ability to read technical diagrams related to roofing systems.
Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights in various weather conditions.
Familiarity with safety standards relevant to construction sites including working at height protocols.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for precise installation work.
A full clean driving license is essential, must have a NVQ blue card in roofing and cladding. Own tools are essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
