Full job description

We are looking for an experienced butcher to join our growing team. We are a traditional butchers where we make all our own sausages, bacon, pastries, and more. Our shop works wholly as a team, and we want someone who is ready to pitch in, support others, and enjoy a laugh and the occasional beer together.

What you'll do:

Serve customers in our front shop and dress display cabinets.
Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely.
Advise customers on cuts, cooking methods, and portion sizes.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.

What we're looking for:

2+ years of experience in butchery (retail experience preferred).
Strong knife skills and deep knowledge of traditional cuts.
An open-minded individual who willing to learn our methods, also.
A team player with a strong commitment to quality.
Clear understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Excellent customer skills and a friendly, approachable manner.

Hours & Benefits:

42-hour week, working Tuesday to Saturday.
Daily schedule: Tuesday–Thursday 7am–4pm, Friday 6:30am–5pm, Saturday 6:30am–4pm.
Daily lunch break closure between 1pm and 2pm.
Closed every Sunday and Monday.
Overtime is likely during busy seasonal periods.

Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
