Job Description:
An exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturing team as a trainee Manufacturing operator keen to further their career. Under supervision of the Manufacturing supervisor, the successful candidate will be involved in all Manufacturing activities including equipment sanitation and set up, preparation of manufacturing/product materials, operation and troubleshooting of equipment and carrying out the manufacturing processes for solid dose pharmaceuticals.
After successful passing of probation you will become a Manufacturing Operator with an increase of salary up to £27,250 per annum.
Please note that this is shift work. Hours will be as below:
Morning shift:
Monday to Thursday 05:45 to 14:00, Friday, 05:45 to 12:45
Afternoon shift:
Monday to Thursday 13:45 to 22:00, Friday 12:30 to 19:30
Overtime is also available:
Monday to Saturday - Paid Time and a Half
Sunday and Bank Holidays - Double Pay
Responsibilities (Post training)
- Carry out the manufacturing processes to produce oral solid dosage forms that are within product specifications and meet all quality standards.
- Verify and prepare manufacturing material and equipment for production run.
- Partake confidently in the manufacturing machine set up and changeovers for manufacturing operations. This includes following work instructions for equipment set up/ changeovers and following all work standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Operate manufacturing equipment, including troubleshooting and adjusting in accordance with company SOP, as directed.
- Follow escalation protocols in a timely manner when troubleshooting efforts fail.
- Work alongside maintenance team when escalation is needed for a mechanical issue.
- Be responsible for personal, production room and equipment sanitation
- Develop an understanding of batch record information, using basic mathematical skills, records preparing accurate and complete information.
- Be actively engaged in all technical training, as well as compliance and other training required as a member of the operations team.
- In time, help with the training of new operators alongside the Senior Operators.
- Be an active participant in continuous improvement activities to promote improved efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language for the purpose of reading documents, product labels and instructions and accurately completing compliance documentation
- Good computer skills
- Must possess basic mathematical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others and work in a team-based environment.
- Organisational skills; detail oriented.
- Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions.
- Basic problem-solving capabilities for the purpose of troubleshooting issues in the manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work overtime when needed
