Head Chef

The Prince Arthur, Windsor

The Prince Arthur is a newly refurbished busy, community-led pub in residential central Windsor with a strong wet trade and a growing reputation for quality food served in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We are now looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our small kitchen team and help continue building something special.

This is not a large brigade operation or fine dining restaurant. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys cooking fresh, honest food to a consistently high standard whilst leading a small, close-knit team with positivity and professionalism.

Our kitchen operates with a simple two-person team structure serving fresh food all day Thursday to Sunday and from 4pm Monday to Wednesday.

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
Calm and organised under pressure
High standards of cleanliness, presentation and consistency
Strong understanding of kitchen management and food safety
Excellent attitude and leadership skills
Polite, kind and respectful manner with both guests and colleagues
Passion for fresh food and hospitality
Ability to work independently and keep a small kitchen running smoothly

The role includes:

Running day-to-day kitchen operations
Ordering and stock control
Maintaining food hygiene and HACCP standards
Managing rotas and prep
Working closely with management on menu development and specials
Leading by example during service

What we offer:

Salary: £36,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
Approximately £5,000 per year in tips
Full-time permanent position
Supportive working environment
