Full job description

Job Summary
We are an established fabrication company based on a busy chemical plant, providing ongoing maintenance and project support to our client. We are seeking a confident and experienced General Foreman to supervise daily operations and ensure high standards of safety, quality, and productivity across all site activities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate a multi‑trade workforce of approximately 10 personnel, including fabricators, welders, and painters.
Carry out site visits to scope future works, prepare job requirements, and monitor progress on ongoing tasks.
Plan daily workloads, allocate labour, and ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Use the client’s maintenance management software to review, update, and manage work requests (training provided).
Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures, site rules, and safe systems of work.
Liaise with client representatives to understand requirements and maintain strong working relationships.
Maintain accurate documentation, including job scopes, reports, and work records.

Skills & Experience

Previous supervisory experience in a fabrication, industrial, or chemical plant environment.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and site safety practices.
Ability to undertake site inspections, identify work requirements, and plan tasks effectively.
Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good communication, organisational, and leadership abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work to deadlines.
