Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC 5 axis Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in machining processes, particularly within the aerospace industry.

Full time position 40 hours per week

Regular overtime available during company opening hours

Duties

Programme CNC 5 axis milling machines using CAD/CAM software, including Onecnc and Fusion.
Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces in accordance with specifications.
Operate CNC milling equipment to produce components with tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling to assist with machine setup and component assembly.
Conduct quality checks on finished parts using measuring instruments and ensure adherence to technical drawings.
Assist in the development of manufacturing processes.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in CNC 5 axis milling programming, setting, and operation.
Proficiency with CAD software, along with knowledge of CAM programming techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge.
Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic maths calculations relevant to machining tasks.
Experience working within the aerospace industry is desirable but not essential.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and various machining equipment.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in production runs.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to machine operation and manufacturing environments.

Pay: £19.00-£21.00 per hour
