Full job description

Due to continued growth, we're seeking an Estimator to join our Commercial and Contracts department. This is an office-based role in Poole, Dorset, with site visits as required to suit client and project needs.

We’re particularly interested in individuals with experience in interior fit-out and high-end project delivery. A joinery trade background is preferred, but not essential. If you come from fast-track fit-out or commercial construction and are eager to grow, get hands-on, and take ownership of challenges from start to finish, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a hands-on role offering exposure across estimating, surveying, and contract control, working closely with Project Managers, Directors, and Clients.

Key Responsibilities

Review and assess tender enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
Carry out quantity take-offs and issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.
Analyse subcontractor and supplier returns and identify labour, material, and time requirements.
Attend site visits and tender meetings where required.
Prepare and submit tenders in line with deadlines and company procedures.
Contribute to value engineering and alternative construction solutions to enhance commercial advantage.
Support post-tender handover and assist with commercial control during project delivery.
Liaise closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication throughout.
