Head of Finance (Part-Time / Fractional) DW Plastics Ltd

Chichester, West Sussex Flexible / Hybrid Working Available

DW Plastics Ltd is a well-established specialist in plastic extrusion design and manufacture, supplying high-quality solutions to a diverse customer base across the UK. We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance to join our leadership team on a flexible, part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional, portfolio FD, or semi-retired finance leader looking for a strategic and hands-on role within a growing SME manufacturing business.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and the Company’s main external investor, Panoramic Growth Equity, the Head of Finance will take responsibility for all aspects of the company’s financial management and reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Review of monthly management accounts prepared by the Company’s Finance Manager

· Budgeting, forecasting and quarterly financial planning

· Review of financial and payroll reporting

· Supporting strategic decision-making with the Board

· Attendance at quarterly Board meetings

· Managing cash flow and financial controls

· Liaising with external accountants and tax advisers

· Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and compliance

· Supporting operational and commercial projects as required

About You

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical finance skills with practical commercial judgement.

You will ideally have:

· Qualified accountant status (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

· Previous experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance or Financial Controller within an SME environment

· Strong management reporting and forecasting capability

· Experience within manufacturing or industrial businesses would be advantageous

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

· A proactive, hands-on and pragmatic approach

Hours & Flexibility

The role is expected to require approximately 2 days per month initially, although additional project work may arise from time to time. We are open to discussing flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Remuneration

Competitive day rate depending on experience.
