Wraparound Childcare / Senior Playworker (Breakfast/After School Clubs).

***Playwork Assistants are also required***

ZigZag Childcare, Horsham (RH12) Term-time, before/after school, M-F

Hourly rates dependent on qualifications and experience (plus monthly holiday pay). Company Pension available. Bank staff positions required too.

ZigZag is a fully registered childcare organisation providing popular, high-quality wraparound childcare clubs and activities for children aged 4–11 across Sussex.

We are looking for a confident, experienced and highly reliable senior childcare professional to join our friendly Childcare Team in Horsham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is kind, caring, organised and enthusiastic, with the confidence to lead a team and create a safe, happy, inclusive and engaging environment for children at our Breakfast Club and After School Clubs.

In this senior role, you will manage and supervise our Breakfast and After School Club provision for children aged 4–11 years. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the setting, support and supervise staff, and ensure children are cared for safely both indoors and outdoors. The role includes planning, preparing and delivering fun, creative and stimulating activities, serving snacks and drinks, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and building positive relationships with parents, carers, schools and colleagues.

If you have a child at the school, they may be able to attend ZigZag at a highly reduced rate.

ZigZag Childcare is committed to supporting, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Successful applicants are required to undertake or have already undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

WE WILL NEED ALL APPLICANTS TO COMPLETE A ZIGZAG APPLICATION FORM.

Suitable candidates will be required to have, or to complete, an Enhanced DBS in line with our safeguarding and safer recruitment policies. Full references will also be required.
