Overview

Batch Organics is a fast-growing manufacturer of ready-to-blend smoothie kits. We pack frozen fruit, veg and ingredients into convenient pouches, allowing our customers to blend a fresh smoothie in under 30 seconds.

We supply some of the UK’s leading cafés, restaurants, gyms, wholesalers and retailers from our manufacturing site in West Thurrock.

We are looking for a practical, organised and reliable Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse and operations function.

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for someone hands-on, organised and confident working across both office and warehouse tasks.

This is a varied role. One part of the day might involve updating delivery records or speaking to suppliers, while another might involve helping with goods in, operating the forklift, or keeping the warehouse tidy and organised.

The right person will be comfortable juggling tasks, communicating clearly, and getting stuck in wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse and Goods In / Goods Out

Assist with goods in and goods out
Operate the forklift when required
Help keep the warehouse clean, tidy and well organised
Check incoming deliveries against paperwork
Prepare outgoing orders and support dispatch processes
Support the smooth running of inbound and outbound deliveries

Operations Admin and Data Entry

Keep internal stock, delivery and operations tracking systems up to date
Enter and update data accurately on spreadsheets and internal systems
File delivery notes, goods in paperwork and other operational documents
Support the team with general admin tasks
Help track orders, deliveries, stock movements and outstanding actions

Purchasing and Supplier Support

Assist with ordering supplies, consumables and warehouse materials
Speak with suppliers and contractors when needed
Help arrange repairs, maintenance visits and site services
Follow up on orders, quotes and delivery times
Support basic facilities management tasks to keep the warehouse running smoothly

Site Support

Carry out basic weekly technical or operational checks
Support routine site tasks and record keeping
Help ensure procedures are followed and records are completed
Escalate any issues with equipment, facilities, stock or paperwork to the relevant manager

About You

You should be:

Organised, reliable and good at keeping on top of tasks
Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment
Practical and hands-on
Confident speaking with suppliers, contractors, customers and logistics partners
Accurate with data entry and comfortable using spreadsheets
Able to work independently and use common sense
Happy to roll your sleeves up and help where needed
Forklift trained, or willing to be trained

Previous experience in operations, logistics, warehouse coordination, admin, purchasing or food manufacturing would be helpful, but attitude and reliability are just as important.

Requirements

Forklift licence preferred, but training can be provided
Previous warehouse or operations experience preferred
Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and email
Good communication skills
Ability to commute reliably to West Thurrock RM20 3ED
