About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function within a busy hospitality business.

This is a standalone, hands-on role reporting directly to the General Manager, offering the opportunity to make a real impact by providing accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting operational decision-making.

You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function, including accounting, payroll and statutory compliance, while partnering with the wider management team to drive business performance.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing the day-to-day finance function from transactional processing through to month-end reporting.
Preparing management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial analysis.
Overseeing payroll, VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK financial legislation.
Maintaining accurate financial records and effective internal controls.
Working closely with senior managers to provide financial insight and improve profitability.
Supporting the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors where required.
Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.

About You

You'll be a confident and organised finance professional who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of the finance function.

You'll have:

Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or similar standalone finance role.
Experience managing the full finance function, including payroll.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE and HMRC compliance.
Experience preparing monthly management accounts and supporting business decision-making.
Excellent Excel, analytical and organisational skills.
The ability to build strong working relationships across the business.

It would be great if you also have:

Previous finance experience within the hospitality sector (hotels, restaurants, pubs, leisure or catering).
Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
